Stand With The Persecuted

Hebrews 13:3 says, “Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.”

Christians are the most persecuted religious group worldwide. An average of at least 180 Christians around the world are killed each month for their faith. (Source: Open Doors USA) Christians in more than 60 countries face persecution from their governments or surrounding neighbors simply because of their belief in Christ. Do you ever wish your church could do more to help persecuted Christians in bonds or suffering adversity today? Well, our friends at Family Research Council have just the thing! On Sunday, April 17, FRC is partnering with three leading international religious liberty groups—Open Doors USA, the Institute for Religion and Democracy, and Voice of the Martyrs—to call Americans into prayer and action for the people around the world who have been targeted for their faith in Jesus Christ.

At “Stand for the Persecuted” Sunday, FRC is asking churches to show a brief video, pray, participate in practical ministries that help the victims, and promote polices that protect believers throughout the world. For more information, check out FRC.org/Stand and encourage your pastor to sign up!
