One Charge Against Pro-life Activist Dropped

Albany Update has previously reported on the criminal charges filed against pro-life activist David Daleiden earlier this year. Pro-life Americans will remember Daleiden as the leading figure behind the infamous Planned Parenthood videos released by the Center for Medical Progress. Earlier this year, a Texas grand jury convened for the purpose of investigating Planned Parenthood reversed course and indicted Daleiden instead; the charges involve the alleged use of a fake ID, as well as Daleiden’s efforts to illegally purchase human tissue during his investigation. Given the connections between Planned Parenthood and the office of the Harris County (Tx.) District Attorney, many in the pro-life community suspect that the charges against Daleiden are politically motivated.

This week, NYCF has good news. One of the two charges advanced against Daleiden—the charge relating to the attempted purchase of human tissue—has been dismissed. While this is good news, the major (felony) charge against Daleiden remains outstanding. Let’s pray that this second charge, too, will be dismissed. Let’s also pray that more states will focus law enforcement attention on the despicable acts routinely committed by Planned Parenthood, an organization that engages in fetal organ trafficking and profits from the shedding of innocent blood.
