Friends, New Yorker’s Family Research Foundation and New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms cordially invite you to attend Ever Upward: Legislative Day 2020. This year’s Legislative Day event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in Albany, New York. The title of this year’s event is drawn from New York’s official state motto: Excelsior. This Latin word means “ever upward” in English.
If we look upon the spiritual and political climate of New York, the odds seem insurmountable and change improbable—but nothing is too hard for the Lord. Dare to believe the (im)possible: A state where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive and life is cherished. Don’t just long for it, though. Work toward it. Through special speakers, panel discussions and public witness, Legislative Day 2020 will present a plan for the future of the pro-life and pro-family movements in our state.
Our roster of Legislative Day speakers is an impressive and accomplished one. We will be joined by Michael Farris, David Barton, Katy Faust, and Tim Goeglein.
Michael P. Farris is the president, CEO, and general counsel of Alliance Defending Freedom. As the second CEO of ADF, he brings to the role a diverse background as an effective litigator, educator, public advocate, and communicator, and is widely recognized for his successful work on both the national and international stage.
David Barton is the Founder of WallBuilders, a national pro-family organization that presents America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our moral, religious and constitutional heritage.
Katy Faust is Founder & Director of Them Before Us, the only organization solely devoted to defending children’s rights in family structure. She did her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Asian Studies at St. Olaf College and then received a Fulbright scholarship to Taiwan. Her fluency in Mandarin assisted her when she worked with the largest Chinese adoption agency in the world.
Tim Goeglein has promoted Christian values in politics for nearly three decades, from Indiana to the White House. Formerly a top aide to then-President George W. Bush, Goeglein is currently the vice president of external relations at Focus on the Family, a Christian ministry and nonprofit organization, in addition to serving as senior fellow at The King’s College.
Which New York event offers attendees the opportunity to hear from nationally-known Christian leaders, gather with hundreds of other Christians from across the state, and strengthen the movement to influence New York government for Jesus Christ? As far as we know, Legislative Day is the only one. You won’t want to miss Ever Upward. Please visit LegDay.NewYorkFamilies.org and sign up today!
