On Tuesday, March 19, Christians from all across New York will converge on the Empire State Plaza Convention Center for the annual Legislative Day sponsored by New Yorker’s Family Research Foundation and New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms.
Legislative Day is a truly unique event in New York. Attendees will hear from speakers on a broad range of topics and from Members of the New York State Legislature who are taking difficult stands for righteousness in Albany. We will also have the opportunity to pray and worship together. This year, attendees will visit Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office in the New York State Capitol to deliver thousands of petitions calling for the repeal of the Reproductive Health Act. (We may even sing some hymns while we are there. They don’t hear hymns on the second floor of the Capitol very often!) Signs will be available for those who wish to make a visible statement on issues important to them.
Legislative Day is, in many ways, a ministry of presence. It lets legislators who are doing the right thing know that Christians appreciate them, and it lets other legislators know that we are watching them. It also serves as a reminder to Christian legislators, staffers, and voters that we are not alone here in New York.
We’d love to have you join us in Albany on March 19. Please sign up today!
