Election Day is Tuesday, November 6.
As Albany Update has previously reported, the stakes this Election Day are extraordinarily high. The results of congressional races here in New York could determine the balance of power in the U.S. House of Representatives, and there is a hard-fought political battle this year to shift control of the New York State Senate.
If you haven’t done so already, please check out New Yorker’s Family Research Foundation’s 2018 Voter Guide, available at NewYorkFamilies.org. This free, nonpartisan educational resource provides information on the candidates for Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, New York State Senate, and New York State Assembly—all in one place. It covers the entire state and includes candidates’ positions on a broad range of issues. If you enter your address, the Guide will find all of the relevant candidates in your area. The Voter Guide is a nonpartisan educational resource; it does not rank the candidates or steer voters in one direction or other. The Guide will, however, save you time and give you key information to help you make your decisions.
Please be an informed voter on Tuesday. Your vote has an impact, and a Christian impact is something the State of New York desperately needs.
