Cuomo: No non-essential state travel to North Carolina, March 30, 2016

“Gov. Andrew Cuomo is protesting the adoption of a law in North Carolina… [Cuomo has] issued an executive order…banning non-essential state travel to the Tar Heel State… Last week, North Carolina state legislators approved legislation that reversed a Charlotte ordinance allowing transgender residents to use public restrooms corresponding with their gender identities.”

“Rev. Jason McGuire, executive director of New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, said Cuomo is misusing his power. ‘The governor’s travel ban is spiteful, mean-spirited and unnecessary; worse yet, it is dishonest,’ McGuire said.”
