We’ll begin by discussing Senator Chuck Schumer’s and Kirsten Gillibrand’s refusal to meet with President Donald Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court, Amy Coney Barrett.

Speaking of the President, he recently signed an executive order that further protects vulnerable newborn and infant children. It’s another pro-life measure coming out of this administration.

Then, as New York State is barreling toward a fiscal cliff, sooner or later, the Governor and the Legislature are going to have to get real about facing our fiscal situation. Some are suggesting that commercializing marijuana—and its accompanying tax revenue—could help close our budget deficit. Our organization believes that’s a farce and are doing what we can to stop our state from creating new problems, while trying to address old ones.

Next up, we’ll be profiling the race for New York’s 20th Congressional District, which pits the incumbent Democrat, Rep. Paul Tonko, against newcomer Liz Joy.
