Thank you for joining this week’s episode of the Albany Update.

Today, we’ll catch you up on the latest regarding the [Dis]Respect for Marriage Act. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) is pushing hard for an amendment that would strengthen religious liberty protections should the bill become law.

Then, in another example of political correctness run amok, New York State Attorney General Letitia James is using the powers of her office to try to pressure the state of Indiana to allow biological males to play on women’s sport teams.

Next, New York has begun issuing licenses for legal sale of recreational marijuana. More marijuana will lead to nothing good for our state.

Following that, the NYT ran an expose looking at the underhandedness of the gambling industry and how quickly gambling has been growing not only in New York, but across America.

Finally, we’ll wrap up our post-election coverage by reviewing the balance of power in the State Assembly now that the races have (mostly) been settled.

Let’s get started.
