Election Day will be here before you know it! On Tuesday, November 6, voters will go to the polls to choose the candidates that will represent them in various public offices.
As previously mentioned on Albany Update, New Yorker’s Family Research Foundation’s 2018 Voter Guide is now available at NewYorkFamilies.org. This free, nonpartisan educational resource allows New York voters to enter their respective addresses and learn who is seeking public office at the federal and state levels in their areas. Voter Guide users will find candidates’ names, party affiliations, websites, social media pages, and positions on a broad range of relevant issues. The Guide allows users to generate a printable (and textable) list of candidates that they wish to support; voters can bring that convenient list with them when they vote on Tuesday, November 6. (Remember: All polls open at 6:00 A.M. and close at 9:00 P.M.)
While our state’s greatest need is spiritual, not political, the Christian community cannot expect to see positive changes in New York’s government unless people of faith get informed, register and vote. Please visit the voter guide today at NewYorkFamilies.org to make sure you are ready to vote—and vote your values—on Election Day. Also, please help spread the word about the Voter Guide to your friends and neighbors. Finally, please pray that the Lord’s will would be done in the upcoming elections.
